NINTH "MUSICA IN VILLA" - 2009
The 9th Festival is structured in 13 concerts. As well as remembering the very important anniversaries of Hayden and Mendelssonh presents music by Bach,Beethoven,Brahms,Listz,Busoni,Chopin,Debussy,Ravel, Bartok,Stravinsky, Rachmaninov,Saint-Saens,Poulenc, Prokofiev,Shostakovich and other composers in a very wide musical spectrum.
The performers have different musical training but the piano is their main instrument (solo or chamber music)
A great concert opens the Festival to celebrate the first of May at “The Clarisse “ in Rapallo with a duo of exceptional pianists (already loved guests of previous editions) MAURIZIO BAGLINI and OLAF JONH LANERI with an extraordinary program (solo pieces alternated with pieces for four hands) of Mozart, Beethoven,Brahms,Shubert.
We should underline that has just been released a Decca cd of Baglini of the 9th Beethoven Simphony transcribed by Listz for the piano (played on a Fazioli gran piano )
Baglini played it last year at the Musee D’Orsay in Paris in a live broadcast by France 3
.He received 15 minutes of applauses without stopping.

Thursday 16 July:”Gabriele Cassone trumpet ensemble” trumpets of 800 of guido Guidarelli-Matteo Frige’-Simone Telandro in a program of rare fascination
Saturday 8 August:Duo Patrizia Pagni-Alexander Hulshoff, celebrated in the whole world and authors of
The unabridged works of Beethoven,Brahms,Chopin,Mendelsshon;
Thursday 13 August:Trio Broz (Barbara, Giada and Klaus Broz): their program of concerts received an exceptional review from the Rivista” Classic Voice”
And also very young but extraordinary, already well-known talents.

And then, winners of several prizes, exceptionally talented Russian musician who have performed all over the world, including Carnegie Hall in New York ;

Wednesday 26 August: Konstantin Alekssv-Narek Arutyunian (clarinet and piano)
One concert is also reservrd for the winner of the 47 international Piano Competition of Taranto 2009
The Festival continues with
Thursday 30 July:“ Grad Quartet”(Terem’ok-Quartet Ensemble) to include the most significant Russian folklore music
Thursday 20 August: Mikhail Rudy and Misha Alperin, two amazing pianists, one a classical pianist and the other a jazz pianist, in one of the highlights of the festival, in a concert where the classical piano music talks and sings with the jazz music in refined poetry of Bach, Schumann,Chopin,Debussy,Prokofiev music.
Concluding an exceptional feast,
Wednesday 2 September:”Terre di Mezzo Jazz Ensemble” of Roberto Batoli(double bass) Emiliano Rodriguez(saxophone) Pasquale Mirra(vibraphone) in a jazz concert of great depth.
